According to the schedule issued by the Railways, train number 04072, operating from New Delhi to Supaul, will run daily from October 1, 2026, to November 28, 2026. It will depart from New Delhi at 9:35 pm and reach Supaul at 6:35 am on the third day.
On the return journey, train number 04071 will depart from Supaul at 7:45 am every day and reach New Delhi at 3:00 pm the following day. The return service will operate from October 3, 2026, to November 30, 2026.
The special train will have AC 3-Tier, sleeper and general-class coaches, allowing passengers across different budget categories to travel during the festive rush.
The train will connect major junctions across Uttar Pradesh and Bihar on its route from Delhi. Its scheduled stoppages include Ghaziabad Junction, Aligarh Junction, Tundla Junction, Etawah Junction, Govindpuri, Prayagraj Junction, Gyanpur Road, Varanasi Junction, Aunrihar Junction, Ghazipur City, Ballia, Suremanpur, Chhapra Junction, Sonpur Junction, Hajipur Junction, Shahpur Patori, Barauni Junction in Begusarai, Khagaria Junction, Mansi Junction, Simri Bakhtiyarpur and Saharsa Junction.
With Diwali and Chhath Puja expected to bring a heavy rush of passengers travelling to their hometowns, the New Delhi-Supaul special service is set to provide an additional rail option during the peak festive travel period. Passengers have been advised to book their tickets promptly through the official railway app or at railway reservation counters.
